From Aha to Duh to Gratitude
Have you ever spent months, even years, working on something, only to make a connection that suddenly changes the way you see it?
I have. Many times.
At first, there’s the satisfaction of the aha moment. Something clicks. Pieces that have been sitting in front of me suddenly arrange themselves differently, and what had been difficult to articulate becomes almost embarrassingly clear.
Then, at least for me, the aha becomes a duh.
How did I not see this before? I’ve been looking at this for years. The evidence was right in front of me. What took me so long?
Eventually, I remind myself that the timing doesn’t matter nearly as much as the insight. Be grateful for the aha, whenever it arrives.
