Most leadership teams leave meetings with a sense of accomplishment. The agenda has been covered, key issues discussed, and decisions made. There is clarity on priorities, alignment appears strong, and next steps are clearly outlined.

In that moment, it feels like progress.


To a degree, it is. Decisions matter. Clarity matters. Alignment matters. But none of those things, on their own, guarantees successful execution.
